Maria Brink
Maria Brink was born December 18, 1977. She is an American musician and singer. The group has released seven studio albums. They have receiving four nominations, two of which were from Alternative Press Music Awards and one nomination from the Grammy Awards. Brink is also known as the "Rock Goddess of the Year", "Hottest Female in Metal" in 2010 and one of the 11 women that matter in heavy metal, according to Yell! Magazine in 2012. She was also acknowledged by Revolver Magazine as one of the "25 most beautiful women in Hard Rock & Metal".The first band Brink was ever part of was one of the Albany, New York-based band known as Pulse before she moved to California. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 at 25 to join the right band. Before that she worked in retail and also sang in coffee shops and bars. She was introduced to Chris Howorth, now a part of the group, at an audition in 2004. Howorth initially turned down Brink due to her being a woman. Howorth apologized two weeks later and hired Brink as the singer. They came together as Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined them as guitarists. Soon after, the band changed their name to In This Moment
