The year was 1976 and she became a global celebrity in 1976 when she scored the world's only ever perfect 10 on the asymmetric bar during the Montreal Olympic Games. Then she scored six further perfect 10s. It made her the most youthful Olympic medalist all around and she was just 14. Nadia Comaneci didn't just draw worldwide attention; she also brought Romania onto the map. In achieving an impossible feat in the sport, she became a sporting legend. Gymnastics became a cult sport all over all over the world. Moreover, it changed the people's perspective of female athletes. The impact she had on her participation in the Olympics was so great that her two moves such as the toe-on movement and release have been named in her honor. Both of them have been classified as being high-level difficult. Her performance was also impressive at World Championships, European Championships and the Olympics. That led to her becoming a legend and she's among the most famous gymnasts in the world. The 'Queen of Olympics was a novice in modeling and marketing sporting equipment following her departure to the US.
