Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is an author and television host, as well as philanthropist as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England together with her family around age 16. At Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. She was the first person from outside the UK to become the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she went on to become the voice of Huffington Post. The fame of Arianna helped in attracting several famous contributors. Arianna first gained notoriety during 2003 when she volunteered in California's recall vote, replacing then Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna was also the leader of the Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient automobiles. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as the most influential women in the media, achieving 12th position on their listing and the following year Guardian named her to the top 100 of media lists. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she became the president of this group. This included many AOL products at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, and Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalists and consultants in management. At the age of 16 the girl moved in her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master's in Economics. Her professional career as TV host and journalist started after her graduation.
