Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She's the co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington works as an writer, journalist, TV host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Her move out of Greece to England at the age of 16 and received an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it when she was 21. A conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she was able to be a voice of the Huffington Post. The fame of Arianna helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their opinions on the news, politics and culture. Arianna's celebrity status started in 2003, after she declared herself an independent candidate for the California recall vote to replace then-Governor Davis. In addition, she led the Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient vehicles. Forbes listed her as one of one of the "most powerful women" in media, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post, and she was named the president of this group. The acquisition included a number of AOL properties at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. She was the daughter of journalist and management consultant Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. Even though she was close with father, her relationship to her mom shaped the remainder of her life. When she was a teen she displayed leadership qualities that she's still known for. When she was 16 years old, she moved over into her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. At Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she was a member of the college debate society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. In 1972, she graduated with an MA in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a critic for a newspaper column and as a host on television. In addition, she was a part of the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from him.
